When should I use online storage?
With online storage, you can save your progress on one system and then continue on another later on. You can save up to 100 GB of game save data (1 GB for PS3/Vita/TV).
- Picking up play on a friend's system
If you sign in to PSN on a friend's PlayStation system, you can pick up from the last save on your online storage. Don't forget to manually upload your saves as they won't upload automatically from your friend's PlayStation system.
If you get a new PlayStation system, just sign in to PlayStation Network and download your game save data.
These games can be downloaded and played on more than one type of PlayStation system. For example, if a game is compatible with both PS4 and PS Vita, you can start playing at home, upload your save, and continue later on your PS Vita.
If you subscribe to PlayStation Now and pick up a game that you previously played on PS4, you can start from the last point you saved to online storage.
